Our congregation has a nearly 20-year relationship with Manos Juntas “Hands Together” ministries with Missionary Rev. Willie Berman in Reynosa and Rio Bravo, Mexico, and the surrounding areas. Manos Juntas is a Methodist ministry serving the community with a Christian heart and empowering the community to overcome challenges that prevent them from a better standard of living.
Each year our church and members of the Belle Chasse community go on a medical and construction mission to Reynosa, Mexico, and the surrounding towns along the railroads and Rio Grande River to provide medical and dental services, as well as construction on churches and schools. Throughout the year we also collect vitamins, backpacks filled with school supplies, and funds for this vital ministry in Mexico. These collections are greatly enhanced by our partnership with and support from local physicians, dentists, construction teams, the Belle Chasse Lions Club, and the Belle Chasse Rotary Club.
